What’s the science?

Free radicals and oxidative stress:

Free radicals, or Reactive Oxygen Species(ROS)and are oxygen containing molecules that react with and damage their environment, causing chronic diseases and cancer. ROS are produced through normal cellular processes and the cells produce anti-oxidants to prevent accumulation.

Antioxidants donate an electron to, and thereby stabilize, the previously unstable ROS/free radical. Antioxidants are present in a healthy diet and are also produced within the cells. Flooding the system with antioxidants can help the body clear toxins; doing this can make you feel better right now and may help prevent disease.

Antioxidants:

Ascorbic Acid/Vitamin C

Primarily an antioxidant but also really important for collagen production and immune response. Ascorbic acid also helps with iron absorption and promotes wound healing. High doses have been associated with anti-cancer activity

Glutathione

This powerful antioxidant is made inside cells to balance out all that free radical producing mitochondrial activity happening in there. Infusions of this compound can help with autoimmune diseases and insulin resistance, as will as improving circulation and protecting the liver from damage.
