About Nomad Wellness:
What do we do?:
We provide home and mobile infusion services and wellness treatments administered by an experienced RN. Scheduling is done through an app, similar to uber. Once you are signed in through the app you will be able to find similar services nationwide.
Primarily serving Clatsop county, available for events throughout Oregon. Travel fee outside of greater Astoria/Warrenton metropolitan area.
We accept cash, credit, HSA, and FSA. Sorry, these treatments are not covered by insurance at this time.
How to book:
Download the Hydreight app through the app store or by clicking the “book now” button and sign in.
Select Nomad Wellness and book therapy of choice and schedule your provider visit.
See the telemedicine provider prior to your scheduled session. For most clients, one provider visit is good for 6 months of unlimited vitamin infusions and injections. There is a $25 visit associated with visit.
Enjoy your therapy! Feel free to discuss with your nurse anything that has been of concern.
Why do we do it?:
Intravenously administered nutrients are currently enjoying widespread popularity, and for good reason.
Infusions bypass the liver, allowing higher and more precise dosing, while having a more noticeable effect. The extra fluid doesn’t usually hurt either, as most of us walk around chronically dehydrated.
With the increased availability of nutrients in the system there is a more profound effect, with energy levels and improved performance possibly lasting for days.
Anti-oxidation occurs rapidly with IV therapy, clearing the system of more free radicals than is possible via oral doses. This can have an anti-inflammatory effect overall.
There is evidence that IV vitamin therapy can help with chronic diseases and illness prevention while it boosts the immune system.
More energy and general feeling of well being from infusion therapy.
Treatments for hangovers and migraines available, for immediate relief.
Concerns:
There’s a risk of infection any time the skin is punctured.
There’s always a risk for a reaction, but with these drugs it is extremely rare.
There’s a risk inflammation the vein called phlebitis.
Possibility of over-hydration.
Cost of treatment
The medical system we have is based on the prevention and treatment of chronic conditions with expensive medications while largely ignoring readily available and relatively inexpensive therapies of a supportive role that may even help prevent some of those chronic conditions. If you are a research-minded individual you may find that there is a paucity of studies done supporting high dose intravenous vitamins and amino acids. The reason for this is that studies are paid for by the drug manufacturer; there’s no money in studies of that nature.
Nurse experience level serves to mitigate most of the risks associated with IV therapy. Nomad nursing staff is extremely experienced, proficient, and conscientious. Give us a chance to ease any concerns you have.
These days it is easy to spend $200. Consider how often one can go through that much money and not feel anything the next day. How much is it worth to feel great for days?
